I am wanting to get a satellite radio system for my dad but I don't know much about them. If anyone has one and can provide any insight it would be appreciated.

Long ago I had it. It was nice primarily for long drives for work, but could also use it in the house with some type of receiver connected to the stereo.

Nowadays, Pandora Premium is much better, less expensive, and more programmable.

Cancelled al my XM service and they keep trying to get me to sign back up. Last offer was $5 a month for 2 years. If they had only been charging that before, I might not have kicked them to the curb. I liked the no ads but their DJs running their mouths constantly was as bad as having ads. And the way they had their shows set up, I never heard a lot of my favorite artists anyway.

Now that I have Pandora, I listen to the music I want to hear and no egotistical DJs jabbering all the time.
