State Department Funds ‘Drag Theater Performances’ in Ecuador

The U.S. Department of State has given more than $20,000 to a cultural center in Ecuador so that it can conduct “drag theatrical performances,” Fox News revealed.

A non-profit called Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano (CEN) received a $20,600 grant to “promote diversity and inclusion. “CEN’s project in support of “diversity and inclusion” will include “three workshops,” “12 drag theater performances,” and a “2 minute documentary.”

The funding to the CEN is a part of the State Department’s public diplomacy initiative, which aims to “support the achievement of U.S. foreign policy goals and objectives, advance national interests, and enhance national security by informing and influencing foreign publics and by expanding and strengthening the relationship between the people and government of the United States and citizens of the rest of the world,”

The State Department has given hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to CEN over the course of the last several years, though this grant appears to be the first that directly supported drag performances, Fox News reported.

The State Department awarded a $50,000 grant to the CEN in 2016 to support the College Horizons program, which teaches English to young people. In 2015, the State Department gave $234,000 taxpayer dollars to the CEN so that they could build a new auditorium.

I read that last night and it really set me off. This was after a meeting at work when I blew my stack about "pronouns". Wound up saying "I am not buying into that horse****!" to a room full of my very liberal co-workers. Where I work I am pretty much a fox in the henhouse and they are starting to ramp up on me given the upcoming elections.

I am 69 years old and ready to hang it up. Only thing I will lose is a schedule that lets me work only, M,T, W so every weekend is a 4-day weekend. Gotta dig in our heels at some point.

If I ever get threatened to be fired I’ll wear a skirt in the following day and tell them they can’t fire a nonwhite nonbinary consonant or I’ll get the NAACP and ACLU involved, and if the Union doesn’t back me I’ll sue them as well. Overcome…adapt…I can show them how stupid they are and make them utterly despise me. I’ll laugh every single day I come into work.

I am not going to worry. They already know I have a strong legal background in employment law, equal opportunity, etc. I honestly don't think they will take me on and if they do they will have a true fight on their hands.

This really should come as no surprise. During the first 100 days of the Biden administration they put over 200 LGBTQ individuals into high places in his cabinet. No telling what the current amount is now. These people see the world differently than I do and think my Christian beliefs are archaic at best; but rather racial, homophobic, and dangerous to their beliefs. My way of thinking is an absolute threat to their way of life. All this really ties into the US proxy war on Russia in Ukraine.

If one is prudent enough to do some digging, we are funding this very same mindset over there.
