Looks like Oklahoma made a few changes for the better. After reading the regulations again, it appeared to have different wording than I remembered from last year so I called. I spoke with a biologist who informed me that you can have as many coils on the trap as you want and you no longer need to post signs on private land unless the land owner requests it. Outstanding

Ordered spring kits for my K9jrs and also looks like the MB 650s will make the trip this winter.
Thank you to all who helped get a little common sense in the rule book

Jerrod Davis the biologist has worked really hard to get the rule changed on the coils spring and conibear traps. We sure appreciate him.

There are still a few changes needed but definitely a step in the right direction. I would love to see snares legal.

Good news. I haven't read them yet.

We need to allow snares. A bunch of guys already use them here.

BC and OKF, snares are the cure for the pigs that got too wise to corral. You guys will love them if you get the ok from OK

Thats the next thing that will be worked on. Most likely be a cable restraint.

No change on cat limits. They did bump otter limit from 4 to 6. With fur prices the way they are I don’t see any sense in having limits on anything. I think they should remove all furbearer bag limits and if the market makes a huge rebound they can always reinstate limits.

I've heard a rumor that cable restraints may be legal next year. It'll be interesting to see how the regs read.

There's more wildlife in our state than there ever has been in my lifetime (except for the game birds but that's another topic) and I think one of the main reasons is our wildlife department.

Good to see one state making progress in expanding opportunities.

Could we get someone to come visit Georgia and thump some sense into the GTA that expanding opportunity is good and to crawl out from under their rock and lobby to get those cable things that shall not be named in this state.
