Looking around the internet I don't see much for trapping using nets with a spring system.
I'm looking to try something different which will include using a net. But do any of you guys know who sells nets large enough for Coyotes and foxes?
If you're wondering what I'm talking about see the picture, best way to get my idea across to you as to the type of trapping I'm looking to use.
THANKS!![Linked Image]

The main problem you have with something like that is 1. A trigger system and two the fact coyotes fox and racoon will chew out of most netting that wouldn't weight a ton. I mean you could do something like a rocket net they use on water fowl but you'd have to be there to trigger it. Again these animals can chew out of steel cable snares so they could definitely chew though most netting.
Any perticular reason you going after something like this ?

You could even use an ACME sign for bait!

Why? Really just to see if I can do it. I've cage trapped and foot trapped. I've never loop snared anything or netted anything.
This trap would be within sight of my back door so if I were successful in netting something it may not be in there long enough to chew through. I think it would be a challenge to get the trigger figured out and make it work.
I just need net!!!

Watch the video. there is no "trigger"

Well in that case you need to use at the very least a #36 size twine for it to be economic and semi chew proof ...hmmmm honestly tarred would be better still, Nets and more ( formally the fish net company) should have something good and not too expensive, I'll try and look and see what that have someone time today. As far as a Tigger mech , there one that some primitive traps usu in perticular I think would be the ticket. Just gotta find a picture. Then you'll just need a tree or something and a counter weight

Try cage trapping a coyote, if you want a challenge.

Check legality

Some state laws are worded weirdly.

I see the idea, but you have to look ahead.
Say you’re successful and now have an peed off coyote/cat/coon (worse yet…a skunk) dangling in the air…what now? You gonna let it down to dispatch and hope it doesn’t get out? Gonna shoot at it swinging in the air? Heck I even look at an area when bird hunting. Can I kill that bird? Yes! Can I recover that bird? No!

Depending on material entanglement could be a nasty issue. Ever deal with a snake in bird netting?
