If you check around this site there are species specific threads in the archive, or somewhere. There should be info there including snaring info. Likely there are YouTubes as well on the net.

Personally I pretty much run all 3/32 cable 1/19 for the yotes and wolves and 7x7 for lynx and fox. 8 inch loop for the fox and lynx and a 10 inch for the yotes. I make all my own snares and instead of running lengths of cable I attach the cable right to 5 ft of 11 or 9 gauge wire with a double furrel.

For loc;s I really like the slim loc;s they cut through the hore frost and ice on snares pretty good. I also use thoothed cam loc;s and sure loc;s, just depends on where I am in the woods, they do good in the thick spruce.

Every snare I make has a BAD, sooner have a popped snare from a moose then having to play the rodeo.

For the wolves Snedeker kill springs, BAD's, and double up on the ferrules.

That is what works for me smile

No need to apologize. This site is for learning, sharing, and maybe sometimes bragging, haha! The species specific threads should have pics too. Pics are a real help.
The snare shop is a good place to order snares or snare parts. I think their site has some pics and info as well?

I like Thompson snares with the tree lock for a commercial snare.

0 X 30 " for fox / lynx (I dont personally set snares for lynx) the 1 X 60"are good too can just tree lock to any near bush.

For under ice beaver I like the 2-XX-72 with the tree lock again to attach to a pole on top of the ice. The thick wire can be reused many times before they kink it bad. The thin wire works just fine under ice for otter and beaver, though. Its one time use mostly.

For wolves the 3-XX-110" again with the tree lock you can just creep through the bushes attaching tree locks to sturdy trees near a trail or tracks with no mess left behind, no springs and wires hanging for them to see.

Sadly I cant use snares much anymore too many moose. Like HFT said keep moose in mind when setting, can hacksaw the locks too make a breakaway would be a good idea so no 40 below rodeo.
