I must be famous, 2 weeks ago I was in Mexico City standing in a hotel lobby and some (non-Mexican) guy walks up to me and says "are you Eric Space?". Seems I did a beaver removal job for him 20+ years ago and now he lives in Mexico.

Agree with this post 100%. When Gulo posts, I pay attention; also anything by Danny Clifton and Mark June. I don't care too much for famous folks on the big screen, but I do respect heroes and humble folk that know their stuff and are willing to help eager people with sound advice. When I was growing up in the 80s and early 90s, just about anything written in FFG were heroes to me. My holy grail books when a kid were all of Charlie Dobbins books, Trapping North American Furbearers by Hawbaker. When I was 13 for Christmas, my mom bought me the FFG coyote VHS. Law Dog is still here today and I think Tom Miranda as well.

Second VHS I ever got was Slim Pedersen's coyote trapping movie. Coyote Fever by Ray Milligan, Jim Helfrich, Herb Lenon, and Hal Sullivan, and so many others were all heroes to me growing up. I wish I knew half the stuff they knew.

This site is a blessing, current heroes I know were/are here were Asa Lenon, Bob Jameson, and Paul Dobbins.

I don't get to trap near as much as I want too these days, and this place is where I can unwind. I really enjoy anything by Tejas, Steeltraps, and so many others currently. Good humble, Salt of the Earth people are on this site.

Hey Wolf, Neil thinks he is a coyote trapper. In southern Maine they get about equal numbers/coyote/fox.

Guess the age of being famous is gone, or the way of getting famous. Before the internet, it was magazines, new papers, word of mouth. even than a lot of people kept quiet & to themselves about what they did & were never know as famous.

I wasn't going to say anything but..... I still get recognized and ask for autographs from my both ear and toe modeling days for Sears and JC Penny catalogues. It's sometimes inconvenient and embarrassing but I always make time for my fans.

The fans from when I modeled for the over 50 speedo catalog are the worst. I've had to sign things I'd rather not talk about.

On a serious note. I consider some on here famous, to do what they do in the times we're in, like Jerry out west right now making a living trapping. To me, a lot on here are famous, even if they aren't on the TV.

Love seeing these shots of Tucker. He fits right in and everyone likes him, everywhere he goes . His visit with Kid Rock was a hoot.

I wouldn't be surprised if he lurks on this forum at times.

Were you the guy on page 602 of the Sears catalog? If so, yes, you are pretty famous.

I remember back in the early '80's Pres.Ronald Reagan sent a message to the NTA convention congratulating them for their conservation efforts. Can you imagine a politician doing that today?

That's for sure. For a while a few years back, a few of us on this site got real famous. It was a pain in the neck.

Now a days if those little cretins pulled that crap I would just make a call or two and the Royal Mounted Police would be visiting some clowns who don't want to have that kind of attention.

I appreciate Gulo posts as well. Mark June is a great poster along with Danny Clifton. I like following Cathryn too on her many escapades.
