This young lady has done well in her last two youth hunts and has a couple of nice bucks and photos to prove it. I thought she deserved some recognition for a job well done....twice! Good job, Rian!!

No the credit goes to her dad. His grandfather has a great farm for them to hunt. Her younger brother has done well too as has her father. Many mounts in their home now.

Yes, they sure can. It is only a 4 day season over MEA, though.

Holy smokes! That young lady has already taken some bucks that guys in their 40's haven't. That is super impressive and I am sure none of it was by accident. Good bucks take work, scouting and lots and lots of patience!

What's "MEA"...?

Minnesota Education Association, or something, I think. It's when the teachers have a convention and the kids all get that Thursday and Friday off. Been going on since I was a kid 70 years ago.

Ok, thanks MnMan! I figured it was some sort of time of year but wouldn't have guessed that one.

When I was a kid, we would occasionally have the school day off for teachers "in-service" meetings and perhaps they had some sort of state-wide conference/convention but I don't think it ended up being a sustained thing. Then again, in South Dakota, the teachers' union doesn't help run the state...

Nice they get time off to hunt. Education Associations are UNIONS. They use "education association" to fool the tax payers. They need a couple days to decide how much more pay they want to dema............I mean ask for each year!

I think I remember the one from 2017 also Good to know there are young men and women taking up the hunting/trapping lifestyle .And good to know that us more seasoned outdoors men are passing on our heritage .
