Through early morning fog I see Visions of the things to be The pains that are withheld for me I realize and I can see That suicide is painless It brings on many changes And I can take or leave it If I please The game of life is hard to play I'm gonna lose it anyway The losing card I'll someday lay So this is all I have to say
Loved the show. There theme song is a little dark if you listen to it.
Looks like he needs another year;-)

Never thought of that way Squash, I thought it was a great comedy show and being a Veteran I could relate to it. One of my all time favorite shows. BTW, it is Alan Alda, not Allen Alda.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Alan Alda is an outspoken proponent of gun control. Loretta Swit has spent her lifetime trying to get trapping and the selling of fur products banned. She has narrated anti trapping videos. They both hate us and our way of life and would shut down what we do in a minute if they had the power to do so.

Really, that was the basis of the show, why else would Hollywood have made this show during the Vietnam War ? Jesh, the show was all about the horrors of war, civilian collateral damage, the ineptitude of segments of the military, soldiers dressed as women , etc.. Thanks for the spelling lesson, Alan , Allen never liked him. Anyway glad you liked it, but I did not.

It is a Liberal anti-Vietnam war show, set in the Korean War era. I never cared for Allen Alda.
However..who really is pro-war? I mean if the USA was pro war, Canada and Mexico would of been part of the USA a long time ago.
Rather than looking at it as the ineptitude of the military...look at it as the ineptitude of government. The show to me never really had a problem with the guys on the front, but mostly the pencil pushing bureaucrats. Colonel Blake is literally our current president minus the dementia.

Never saw any guys wear a dress in the service, I am just saying there were things on that show one could relate to, I guess if someone never served that would not understand.

If I remember right, we took a big chunk of Mexico in the Mexican American war. Texas is debatable. Who would want Canada?
Who is John Galt?

I think the army drove the Mexican army back to Mexico City. Then again, other than the agave farms, I wouldnt really want Mexico either. Canada has a lot of fishing and natural resources, we can just ship the people there back to England, or in the case of Quebec... France.
