.45 cal roundball and some self made doug fir arrows loosed from the longbow. Nocked a few down already A man after my own heart. I'll be using my 54 caliber flint rifle and if I bowhunt it'll be homemade arrows from an Osage flatbow made by a friend.

having just filled my freezers with a cow I had to put down a few weeks ago this is the first deer season I can remember where I am not really looking to fill the freezers.
my cousin and his 14 year old son are both coming to deer camp for the first time this year so I will likely be mentoring and not shooting too much. unless they taunt me then I will be giving it away or borrowing freezer space.
probably my 300blk pistol because it is so easy to carry.

What kind of stand? You guys got any heated, portable stands/blinds?

Good for woods or 400 yds across a bean field.
Or my Rem 600 Mohawk in .243 win. Four hundred yards off the rail of my truck. Factory ammo. 7mm Mag, 140 gr. bullets. That's Awesome Posco!!!

What kind of stand? You guys got any heated, portable stands/blinds? sometimes I bring a folding stool or my little web seat often just set on a blow down or on the ground on a hill heat-a-seat https://www.farmandfleet.com/produc...Zo2Ah6f1HY8Po4ccu9sKPJi6LosaAiDDEALw_wcBstrut seat https://www.fntpost.com/Products/Hunter's+Specialties+Deluxe+Two-Way+Strut+Seat there is a blow down in the edge of the swamp that is right off a few good trails , puts me in the shadow's of the cedars looking out got a couple deer sitting on that same blow down last year

Summit cobra climber from 1997 and a summit viper from 1997. Haha, I honestly don’t remember how long I’ve had my Viper, but probably close to 20 years. Just replace the cables every couple of years. A lot of archery deer and quite a few rifle kills out of it. Now I’ll climb 25+ feet in it and not think twice. Climbing a ladder that high tends to give me a pucker factor, lol. Summit made a legend with that climber.
