I’m a recurve only and will be out there every chance I get. I prefer the morning hunt over the afternoon.

A man after my own heart.

I'll be using my 54 caliber flint rifle and if I bowhunt it'll be homemade arrows from an Osage flatbow made by a friend.

having just filled my freezers with a cow I had to put down a few weeks ago this is the first deer season I can remember where I am not really looking to fill the freezers.

my cousin and his 14 year old son are both coming to deer camp for the first time this year so I will likely be mentoring and not shooting too much. unless they taunt me then I will be giving it away or borrowing freezer space.

probably my 300blk pistol because it is so easy to carry.

sometimes I bring a folding stool or my little web seat often just set on a blow down or on the ground on a hill

heat-a-seat https://www.farmandfleet.com/produc...Zo2Ah6f1HY8Po4ccu9sKPJi6LosaAiDDEALw_wcB

strut seat https://www.fntpost.com/Products/Hunter's+Specialties+Deluxe+Two-Way+Strut+Seat

there is a blow down in the edge of the swamp that is right off a few good trails , puts me in the shadow's of the cedars looking out got a couple deer sitting on that same blow down last year

Haha, I honestly don’t remember how long I’ve had my Viper, but probably close to 20 years. Just replace the cables every couple of years. A lot of archery deer and quite a few rifle kills out of it. Now I’ll climb 25+ feet in it and not think twice. Climbing a ladder that high tends to give me a pucker factor, lol. Summit made a legend with that climber.

Bow, inline, 7mag- I have two viper climbers. Ones over 25 years old, the other about 15. They’re comfortable to sit in and can adjust the seat height higher for when I’m bow hunting or lower with a firearm for a great rest. They dig into trees well, but always tie a string between top and bottom. I had a Myles Keller climber that gave me a few sudden drops. I believe it became a few beer cans in its second life.
