Good for you Cathryn. Plenty of naysayers here. In the end, you have to go with your heart and gut. The other day i gave all i had in my wallet to a local lady pushing a cart of metal to the local recyclers. She was in tears. Later on. I got a call for beaver removal and got the job.

I have to set with my feet. Even with just a #2 I use my feet
I can get some 330s but most of the time I have to loop a rope through it and pull it a certain way to collapse the spring

Well get em in the mail to you as soon as I get your address.

We don't want anything in return except that you help some other kid who wants to trap somewhere down the road.

We ALL need to be active in introducing as many people as possible to trapping or the Trapper will be the next species to become extinct.

We are legit wink

Cathryn, as someone who started 3 years ago, thank you for helping this new trapper out as I wish I had someone like you to help me.

A quick simple way for not yet bulked up young man is 2 x4 s one on each side of levers standon them.
Next ask dad or uncle bigger cousin. To set them then wire open until ready put in place your good to go .
Or buy setters for your traps. To set them with.
All these knotheads on here do not want to admit they had there younger sister set them for them when they were 11. Lol

For body grips I got a pair of Sauvageau setters, really nice, but it’s easy to make your own for free. I’ve got Bridger (I think) setters for coil springs. They work on different brands but have slid off the odd time. After you know how much force you gotta use it gets easier. The first few times you don’t really know and slowly start squeezing and it’s kinda difficult, once you know, apply that full force right off the bat and it’s a lot easier. 4 coils I usually let out a guttural roar as I’m doing it…..let’s the critters within a mile know who’s boss too.
I’m a little older than you but I just started trapping this spring. When you try to set a MB750 by hand or feet, then use the setters, it’s kinda scary knowing there’s that much jam there…lol
