Back in the day it was used with a different size shot in each part of the dispenser. Most rural stores had one. the muzzle loader hunters would buy shot by the pound. I sold my last one for about $800 no idea what they are worth now. Check EBay to see what they are selling for. At one time I collected that stuff. Merchandizer's are also nice. Still have a bunch of them. I'll post a photo later.
