Just bought a 2008 Ski-Doo 300 Tundra with only like 300 miles on it.Runs like a top.Has both electric and pull start. Also has reverse.Looks brand new.Payed $3000.Any opinions from folks that know more about these.Got it just to bomb around and ice fish and trap with????

Good machine easy to work on.
I got a 09 twin 550 long track-bulletproof,has run great every year since I got it new with minimal mtc.
If you have deep snow put wide ski skins on it.

Thanks Boco.My buddy I got it from also has a 2010 Tundra 550 he wants to sell and I think my older boy is gonna grab that one cause his old Polaris crapped out on him last year..Same set up,,both electrc and pull start with reverse..Very low miles.Hes getting rid of them cause he just got a Brand new Tundra 600.Already hes talking about the stuff he liked on the old ones over his new one like no pull start option on the new one..LOL

The 550 is very peppy.Lots of fun to ride.
I got a 600 4 stroke too,it is a great machine,but much different than the 550 two stroke.

I need a lighter sled for my line, but that 4 stroke grunt sure is nice

I’ve got an 86 Skandic…..lol. Old but for $600 and I’ve known this machine for 20 years (was my friends dads). Very light and easy to get unstuck by hand when buried in the snow. I think it’ll be under powered this winter but I’ll try. My buddy weight about 230 in his gitch, got an old trapping sleigh that weighs about 60-70lbs. I’ll certainly have to break a trail first.
Might upgrade next winter but I’m scared of getting it stuck. Used to have a 94xlt. There’s nothing “extra light” on a Polaris XLT buried in 5’ of snow!…lol
I’ve handled our new utility sled at work. Polaris 500, can’t recall the name. Great machine but heavy. Long track, floatation skis. Bud took it out to patrol a power outage last January. He drove off the road and into the ditch and that’s where it stayed….at least it was easy to pull out 30’ off the road! He doesn’t really ride much, told him not to stop in deep snow like that and stay on the throttle.
