Someone from your family that's now gone. Maybe someone from history, a President, Simon Kenton, Henry Ford etc. Who would you choose if you could have one day with them, to just sit and chat.

My go to is always my Mama, and my one Sister but today It would be my GG Grandpa. My back is out again so doing some front porch sittin and thought I never met him, he died a few years before I was born, but I'd like a chat with him.

He was born in 1860 and died in 53 from clearing more plantable land. He set a back fire and it turned on him and smoke done him in. They laid him out in the kitchen of his sons house with coins on his eyes. He had very long pure white hair and a matching beard that was down to almost his belly button. Kin told me he never liked being inside, he hated roofs. I bet that ole boy had some great stories and tales to tell. Who's yours???

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

My son... he was 16 months old when he was killed and would be 16 now.

I have no idea if I would be speaking with a toddler or a young man. It would not matter as long as I was with him.

My Great Grandfather Jimmy McBrien. He went west in the Gold Rush, was Sherriff of Buffalo New York, and at some point shot half his hand off while crossing a fence with his double barrel shotgun. He'd have some stories I would like to hear.

My great grandfather. Had a butchershop for four generations on young street in Toronto. Apparently they used to drove cattle right down young street to the slaughter house in town.

Also my family on the American side
Any of them, my great uncle Ray was the featherweight boxing champ at one time, his brother did well in Walter weight

Or on mom's side, my grand mother is still alive but losing her mind a bit , the other day she was talking about the great depression and what it was like to survive on the farm. I would like to talk to her dad, he was the first in the area to custom farm with a steam tractor for people. Big step up from a mule.
She still has the steam whistle on her wall

Lots of options lol. Couldn't care less about the politicians or so called great mind out there.

While it would certainly be interesting and educational, I'd opt for someone outside my family. Samuel Clemens (AKA Mark Twain) would be my first choice, I think. According to history, that old boy had a wit and a phenomenal sense of humor.

Of course Jesus would be my first choice. In the secular world in order of preference Theodore Roosevelt, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison. In my family spending one more day going fishing with my grandfather.

My father. I have some things he would be so proud and happy to know about. I finally got it right...he would tell me.

And Katharine Hepburn.

Jennifer Love Hewitt or Mila Kunis... Because, well do I really need a reason?

But seriously probably any of my grandparents. I was really close to my grandma on my mom's side and my grandpa on my dad's side. My other grandparents both had depression issues for most of my memories of them would like to talk with them free from those issues.

Also you all may call me crazy but I would like to ask my mom's dad about something that happened at his funeral. I was probably 7 or 8 at the time. During the service I clearly saw my grandpa up near the ceiling above his casket and he was bowling. Would like to see if it was really him or a childs imagination. Never told anyone in my family about it.
