Real braintan starts at about $20 a square foot and goes up from there.
I don't really know about commercial buckskin, but it's much cheaper.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Native smoketanned deerhides go for over $100 ea for #1 grade.
A #1 grade native smoke tanned moosehide will go for around $3000.

If you can find any.
