My wife, Mother and grandmothers(both).

My father, grandfathers(both) and my great grandfathers(both). So much to recall family history.

For Catch22

The web-fowl nested in the slog
Beside the sliding otter;
The red maid in her bark canoe
Just skimmed the slumb'rous water;
The red man took the 'wareless game
With sinew-twanging bow;
Till Kenton's cracking rifle came,
An hundred years ago.

Would sure like to have a sit down/campfire with Fred Bear.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

Wow, wonderful and thank you Osagian! So many great post. All genuine, and a couple, no joke made me tear up. I think the individuality of what is chosen is pretty dang cool.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

If it's only one list, family and "famous" people combined, it would of course be my grandfather I lost several years back and my brother I lost this year.

If there were TWO lists, I'd also like to pick the brain of Charlie Dobbins. And Thomas Jefferson. And, and, and....

From my family I would choose my grandad, he was my best buddy. Was born durring the depression, grew up farming, fell in love with grandma when they were in middle school and they were married 66 years when he died. I now live in his house on the first farm he owned. So many things I would love to ask him and talk to him about.

Famous person would have to be Thomas Jefferson. I once read that jfk had a dinner at the White House for the brightest minds in school(can’t remember high school age I think, maybe college) any way he said something to the affect of this is the most intelligence to gather in this room at one time, except for when Thomas Jefferson dined alone

There have been very few times in history where the leader of a country was able to get 95%+ of the country to go all in on an idea. Nazi Germany is the most recent example, and I would like to ask him more about certain aspects.

Khafre is the son of Khufu who commissioned the Great Pyramid in Egypt. Khafre built the 2nd largest one, but would have direct knowlege on the entire process along with the Egyptian technology of that time.

My brother who passed from covid during the hospital lockdowns for covid. My brother and so many more were like prisoners, passing amongst strangers and not with their families beside them. Never got to say goodbye but I'll see him again someday.
