There's a local auction that I am watching that has has a lot of axes and hatchets in it including 2 Norlund axes. There is also 1 hatchet in the auction that has "Genuine Norlums" stamped or engraved on the head just down from the pole. It appears to be a Norlund pattern head and handle. I can find nothing online about "Norlums".

Do any of you know if it's just a Norlund knockoff or something Norlund actually made?

Keith

Just saw no one has responded so I figured I’d chime in and say I have no clue about axes. Have a few ex’s I could recommend staying away from.

Norlund.

I have a few. Very valuable to collectors.

Search google for Norlund.

Maybe Norlums were made by the dumb part of the family.

No idea other than Norlunds are a quality axe.

Misspelling makes me think Chinese copy. I know nothing of whether they did axes but during the warlord period all sorts of pistols and rifles were made in Chinese shops that were copies of European ones right down to crude copies of logos, serial numbers, etc

I'm thinking that it's likely a copy too. So far it takes $6.00 to win it and 2 other old hatchets with it. If it doesn't go up much more, I'll likely bid on it anyway.
