Let you in on a little secret, I agree that Walker was a poor choice as was Oz.
Matter of fact I felt sort of insulted that I would be asked to vote for an out of state guy just because he was black and was a fondly remembered football Heisman winner.
But what were the options I was given?
We had a choice of three.
Gary Black, our Dept of Ag commissioner. An old white guy with the charisma of a potato whose apparent management style while in charge of the Dept of Ag was don't do anything to get noticed and rubber stamp whatever his employees bring to him even if it screws over a segment of the population.
Latham Sadler, an unknown who had never held an office of any type. But a rather impressive background and military career. A young man and veteran of our most recent foreign misadventures. Outspoken Christian and family man to boot.
And the infamous Hershel Walker.
I voted Sadler and got Walker.
I could've complained, stayed home or bad mouthed the guy. Were the stakes not what they are I may have as I did withhold my vote for governor, sos and ag. Nope I fell in behind Walker and voted.
BTW, Walker imo is a good man with a checkered past and a product of his time. But who of us isn't? Yes, his communication skills are not up to par but they weren't exactly teaching that in rural Georgia public schools (read as black since the whites had fled to private ones) in the 60s and 70s. Yes, he was a jock thrust into the lifestyle we've all seen so many other young men go into and the mistakes to follow. Yet, he was able to establish a life and business and get right with God. A somewhat ugly past but he who is without go ahead and toss that rock. Herschel Walker was born and bred in Augusta, GA. My old stomping grounds.

Pennsylvania ran two BAD candidates for the Senate. What kind of choice was there??? The horrible ones that won Pennsylvania is another prime example. The best in that race was the unknown, Kathy Barnette. These state parties need to quit rewarding party flunkies (can we sat Britt in Alabama) and recruit and get behind new blood like Barnett and Sadler.

Maybe not rural by Georgia standards but I'm quite sure my statement stands on the quality of his primary education. I know because I lived it as well.

How they drug Fedderman across the goal line ...is a mystery IMO, Oz should have never won the primary. He got beat by Fetterman because sensible rural PA voters did not vote for a Muslim. They had a tough choice.

The plummeting NASDAQ in 2022 erased 8 Trillion in income from our bottom lines yet people clamor for more. And they will no doubt get more of what they voted (clamor) for.
People elected... represent the people electing... and so it has always been. Why is anyone surprised at these election outcomes? I'm not. It's on par for where we're as a nation. Praying some politician will "save me."
Ah, no thanks. Law and order, right and wrong, good and bad - the Judea-Christian moorings holding societies together through thick and thin these last two thousands years especially - are absolutely being tossed overboard for the age old shame & honor system which is the human nature default. We're headed speedily into it. People are judged not on what they do but who they are status wise. Like the Romans did, and the Babylonians and the Assyrians and the Egyptians and ALL the human developed systems, including Marxism today.
All hail Caesar! And the people cheered! And voted for it! As they always do. With a remnant always preserved.
Teach your children well y'all. Blessings, Mark

Even conservative Arkansas is headed to the same place you mention Mark. The people voted for .gov being able to shut down places of worship for whatever .gov decides is legitimate.
