Thank you to all veterans.

A special thanks to my late dad, Billy Robert West, Unites States Navy.

And, my late trapping mentor who was so much more that that, Marvin "Bunk" Brown, Unites States Army. Bunk fought in The Battle of the Bulge and earned a Purple Heart for it. I was about the age he would have been; when, he revealed this to me. The young age was never lost on my. He was a farm boy from North Georgia who was plucked out of familiar surroundings and sent to Europe, like so many other boys. They were not men; they were young boys. We owe them so much.

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

If you got the time go to youtube and check out The Great War channel. It was a year's long project honoring WW1 on the centennial of the war. It was a week by week episodic coverage of the war on all fronts worldwide. Words can't describe just how appalling and horrific that war was.

As a veteran myself, I too owe a debt of gratitude to all my brothers and sisters that preceded me, those who stood with me and those that have followed me.
