I've used one in the burnt bronze finish for 2 seasons now. The gun itself is fantastic. Always goes bang. The finish, however, has not held up like I think it should. Has some wear spots where it rides in the holster. Can you text me a picture of the wear Dave? I kinda like the looks of this one and was thinking it would make Ben a nice Christmas present... https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1024624440?pid=390415

I am silver with a black cylinder
I don't have the miles on mine that Farmnhunt does so I haven't really tested the finish wear
like his my chambers are tight some ammo you have to push in hard
new clean stuff from the box that I have tried has been fine but if you found a few rounds in the bottom of the range bag or in a cup holder in the truck not so good.
the chambers will get carboned up with a bunch of rounds and need a brushing with a 22cal brush , common of most revolvers just this one is a little tighter than some.
the sights are not exactly bullseye target sights , so in that regard it is what it is. but beer cans at 30 feet are in serious danger.
a good functioning gun for the money , uses the single six holsters , as a dispatch and fun gun , good tool.
if you want to shoot itty bitty holes the sights are a little lacking then you would want to spend the money on one of rugers guns with better sites
if you are someplace you need to unload every time you get in the truck it is a hassle , we haven't had to do that since 2011 here

Good choice going with a Ruger over the Heritage. Single Six user here. No failures. Always safe. Always accurate.
My nephew’s mom bought him a Heritage and it was very dangerous. It was unreliable and unsafe. From what I have seen in a gun shop and from reports by knowing and experienced gun owners, the Heritage should be taken off the market.

I have a Heritage that has been used rough going on 18 years. It says in the side x side or truck 24/7. It’s has always done the job it was intended for. No problems whatsoever, it’s is also surprising accurate. I have no idea of how one would be unsafe. Keep on an empty cylinder, same as any other.

I think that is why people say they are not safe , because you need to keep it on an empty chamber the Ruger uses a transfer bar safety so you can carry 6 rounds safely. because not everyone is good at load one skip one load 4 more hammer back hammer down completely by feel in the dark. the ruger you never pull the hammer back until you are ready to shoot , when you drop the loading gate the cylinder free wheels you load and unload without touching the hammer

also Heritage RR quality is very hit and miss I have shot some that were great and I have seen some where the front sight is crooked and the barrel is not clocked correctly.

Black on black. Not partial to any other color schemes. Can't stand the Beretta A400 guns with the sky blue recievers. The only exception would be a nice color case with niter blue screws. Is the black a cerakote finish like the bronze?

Their cerakote doesn’t hold up worth a hoot. And as far as I know all the wranglers are cerakoted.
One year riding in a leather holster and you’ll have serious wear marks. At least my black cerakote one does.
But it’s still five times the pistol a Heritage is. I found mine on sale for just $20 more than the junk Heritages were.
My Heritage was a pile of poop. Shot minute of coon at six feet. The Wrangler shoots WAY better.
