There was a horrible crash at the Dallas air show today. P-63 struck a B17 in mid air. Both aircraft were scheduled to be at our air show in 2023.

If it makes a track on this earth , I can catch it.

Dear Lord, please comfort those that need it, and guide those that need YOU, in the right direction! Amen

What a terrible tragedy. I flew on a B-17 years ago at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum. It wasn't this one, the Texas Raiders though.

Eh...wot?

According to this guy there were only five B-17's left flying in the world. I knew there weren't many but I thought there were a few more than that.

He gives a pretty good break-down of the accident.

Eh...wot?

There's more than that that are airworthy, where the confusion comes in is when you break it down to manufacturer of the airframe. Several manufacturers of B17s and they are counted differently in remaining terms. Tragic even nonetheless and prayers for families and friends of those involved.
