Went in and picked up my trapping license the other day got my normal packet with otter card tags and regs. A couple days later I got another identical packet in the mail. I also recieved another identical packet today in the mail ----- they must be the ones in charge of mailing out the ballots to portland -- no other explanation.

So you got three otter cards for the price of one? Do they all have the same number?

Yea - they all have the same number -- had to check -- not that I have completely filled my 15 otter on one tag yet (I think the most I got 1 year was 6). I am still trying to figure out what I am supposed to do with the beaver location info, and how specific I need to be.

That probably would be Heidi in the main office doing what she does best. Sounds like what I deal with every year. If you call her on something, she will say how over worked and busy she is. Or the computer did it. If she got things right the first time, she wouldn't be over worked. Not just me, but stories of others over on this side of the mountain also. Was thinking it was an East side, man dislike thing. But I guess it is just Heidi. Lol

Does she call the 2 cc machines "beulzebub and kathulu or is she the one with the nose ring? We have such great options in this state for govt employees.

Well I'm jealous. I only got one packet. When I fill up that otter card I have to buy another.

My best year I filled 5 of 'em. But they was worth something then. LOL

I used to think that no amount of money was worth skinning and fleshing an otter but I am finally getting to where I enjoy them (if I'm in the right mood). Maybe this year I will fill a card (15) -- At a couple of the places I trap the owners were commenting about seeing a few otter, and since I think I am going to try for 100 beaver this year (previous best is 50) - i might pick up a few more than normal 3-4.

last year they cashed my check in Oct and I called them every 2 weeks until I got it in December. I called them 5 times in one day to get it sorted out and they still sent me the homeowners tag.

Busy they are? One reason I do everything by mail. Makes them do something even if they screw it up. My hand writing is pretty poor on the report card so not only do they have to put it in their system they have to figure out what I wrote down.
There have been years I never got a report paper. Guess they thought I would do it on a computer. Nope. Copied an old form crossed out the date added the new date. May not seem like much but makes me smile when I mail them
