a wind screen, more fuel and a lid while you get up to temp.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Yep, I use a couple 1/2 sheets of plywood for wind block .....no problem.

No wind here but with 40 degree temps I wonder how traps would dry…?
I speed dipped
Coyotes can smell it
Power washed traps twice
I suppose I set and find out if it worked….
I want to boil now as I know that works but with temps I wonder…

I've done it in sub freezing weather. Works, just takes a lot longer to heat up. Traps are hot enough coming out at 212 degrees that any liquid evaporates off before it freezes. Waxing in cold weather is a while different story. Get some big drips solidified on them.

The water is not going to freeze at 40F. Shake them good to get as much water off as possible and hang them in the wind. Wax when dry. Don't over think it.

Water boils at 212 f, no matter if it is 0 degrees or a hundred degrees out. Won't get any hotter unless you put it under pressure with a lid. I am sure most know this. You must be young,, that is a good thing.

Just did it yesterday in 45 degree temps, worked beautifully. Wax even did great too!
