Wow! I had 3 friends so far this week that have died. It seems like this is going to be the norm for me from now on. The older we get the more we lose until either you go, or you run out of friends.

Been there way too many times

My mom has run out of friends, it is so sad. I think I would rather go sooner.

Wow you have a lot of friends. If I lost 3 I would only have 2 left. But I don't use the term friends lightly.

My grandfather told me the worst part about getting old was all his friends were gone, he was about 72 then and I was 15 so to me he was old as the hills, lol. My brother just turned 70 yesterday and it doesn't seem as old as it did back then.

I know what you mean. The list keeps getting shorter.

When you start outliving your doctors your old!

At 75 I lost many friends and relatives including cousins. It gets lonelier and lonelier as time goes by until it’s my turn.

Make new friends. Preferably other trappers. Happens to us all!

Sorry for your loss Actor, I can't imagine losing that many friends in such a short time.

As one who supports people during funeral and memorial services, I observe that people who live alone typically die alone, and those who've built a lifetime of friends typically have quite a few around them as they take their last breaths (except during covid). As followers of Christ, we are all members of the body of Christ, so we come alongside each other during times that are wonderful and during times that are hard. I'm a pastor involved in ministry care in a church in a small community in northern lower Michigan right now, and they walk together though life about as well as any church I've ever attended. Praise God.

Gary, get yourself to church and make friends of those who'll you see for a very, very long time indeed sir.
As it was meant to be when Christ began gathering His people, to walk together through "thick and thin."
