Actually looking at the body on the left his rear end is still much bigger than the front and still has a neck, could be 3.5.

So you’re saying that deer on the right isn’t 5.5? That neck and front end screams 5.5 here, lol.

Will say the angle of that pic may make the one on the right look a little bit bigger than he really is body wise

Yes Sir, what’s the deal with the garbage cans? Is there some sort of feed in it? Or water? Happy trapping! ScottW

That's my blind. I but feed on the lid and when they get use to eating there I hide in it and pop out and shoot them. Had to tie it to the t post cause I get a little excited and have fell over a few times and it throws my aim off.

How old do you think this buck is? He was on my camera Friday, I’d guess at least 4.5. Big bodied deer I hope my wife can get with her .243 in a couple if weeks.

That deer is a toad. I'd say he's likely 4.5 or older. Neck makes his head look small and looks like he's got a Roman nose to him.

Perfect example of a 5.5 or older to me.
No neck to speak of.
Front end larger than rear end…a younger buck looks even front to rear.
Sagging belly.
And I can about guarantee when you see him in person he walks like a Bulldog. They just have that swag to them. The way it was told to me and I’ve told everyone that hunts with me, when a mature deer steps out, you’ll KNOW it, lol. They just carry themselves much differently than a younger deer. You will pick up your weapon before picking up the optics to look him over, lol. And yes, I carry optics even when archery hunting.
