Stand that trailer up on that tractor and you’ll get a feel of the bulk weight on the tandem of a dump truck.

There were two springs with cracks. Trying to get it into the new year before replacing them.

You gonna park that one and drive another?

Not real familiar with what I am looking at but looks like unsafe to run down the road smile

I do. Your a brave man to drive around with cracked leafs. Around here they will put you out of service. I am glad you got home with out the added expense of a tow truck.

Job I was on yesterday was hauling off dirt. Went pretty good till the ground thawed out. Had to back up a slight incline. Pulling the trailer was sorta working but backing up, pushing the trailer, wasnt working at all. So we got paid to sit around and watch the dozer push the greasy stuff off the top. Ground was still soft. Just like you described. I wish I could sell coyotes. Truck would be parked.

Well if you are hauling close to 60 ton gross on a tandem dump , no wonder it broke. Most log and chip haulers here are running 4 axle trailers with the front trailer axle steerable.

Lot of times they will snow cone the trucks if they’re staying on the job and not heading out on a road.

Must be like driving a new truck! I remember driving trucks with worn out bushings and the rear end did more steering than the front.
