Heard a meth story tonight I believe cause of who was telling it. A nurse my wife and I know. She works in a health care clinic funded with federal money so no one can be turned away. She was in the back when the lady at the window started yelling she needed a nurse. She got up there and a guy had amputated his own leg. He put a tourniquet on it and cut it off above the knee. Said the bugs on it were making him crazy. Said he needed it sewed back on. His wife brought him in with the leg. Had a little boy with them. He had watched the whole thing and peed all over his self. They sent the guy his wife and kid to an emergency room. Called the police and child protective services. She said she does not know what happened after.

This is why we need to do away with treat all comers at the ER. Nature is better at sorting things out than we are.

the drug epidemic is all over and way worse than most would believe...with an open border and all the government is not concerned about it much.....I am sure the politicians get a cut. I bet with the US troops out of afgan the heroin market is slowly moving back to s/e asia.

Doesn't surprise me one bit Danny. When meth first got popular around here I seen this fella hopping down the road. He had one leg busted up really badly with multiple fractures and that entire side of his body looked like hamburger, but he was happy as spring lark hopping down the road. He sure wanted a ride into town as he was unsuccessful hitching a ride on the train. The fella refused a ride to the hospital insisting he was just fine and wanted to go home. I seen him around town after that so suppose he finally took that ride to the hospital after he came down.
I got to see the aftermath of another fella blowing his finger off with a 357 because he couldn't get the spider to stay off of it. Meth is some bad stuff for sure.

Sad, especially for that boy.

I despise that drug. Have lost too many loved ones to it.

Fentynol is the biggest issue here, many take it unknowingly laced in something else and lights out. Biggest killer people aged 18-49. Takes a peice the size of a grain of sand to kill you they say

She said people coming in complaining about phantom bugs is common. They scratch sores onto themselves over the phantom bugs. Said all the clinic can do is give them pamphlets on addiction and where to go for help with it. She told me she has asked them where exactly a bug was. Then put a piece of tape on the spot and pull it off. Point to the tape and say see no bug. That doesn't work either. I told her to tell them to start spraying their selves with raid.
