No I'm trying to hold out for one particular deer and that wasn't it. We have a few that would seriously tempt if they stood in front of me too long

Great pics! That has to be pretty dang fun watching those encounters.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Almost as fun as shooting one. When they attack the speed and violence is surprising. The first time it happened I wasn't expecting it to happen and physically jumped when it did. I could write two pages of the experiences I've had with deer reacting to the decoy. 99% of the time it confuses them and they can't figure it out. Only time one has left scared is when they attack it and it doesn't sound right. I've had the go a 100yds and come back 3 or 4 times.

Really confuses them

Tried the flat ones but they don't hold a candle to the 3d ones. Use flat ones muley hunting with good results though

Friend an I used them yrs ago when we took horns seriously. Stopped using them because we couldn't keep the little bucks from goring them and then have to climb down an reset. Believe one hunt I reset decoy 5 times! One buck nocked it over multiple times. I gave up on em after that.

Every buck but 2 that have seen the decoy has came in to it. One I had it setup on tight cover, which is not good, and buck didn't see it until ten yards away and it scared it and the other could see a buck chasing a doe 150 yds past me. He opted for the hot action. Pain in the but to carry in and setup but it will bring nearly every buck within range if used properly and they aren't with a hot doe.

We don't have as many deer as u guys there and they don't seem to gore it that often here. If u still have it and it's the right style I'd be real interested in buying them

Use a young buck decoy or a 1 horned larger buck decoy

Don’t use a decoy in any gun season!

Had a small buck come to a Montana Decoy once. He smelled every inch of that decoy and left confused.

Very cool.
Years ago I orange bottle tanned a deer hide and wrapped it around a archey target.
When set as a doe I can't count how many times smaller bucks would come sniff it then lay down beside it. Sometimes for hours.
Had several wild encounters carring it on my shoulder. (Don't do that unless. Your absolutely positive no one else is hunting near by).
If I used it during gun season I wrapped a vest around it during transport.

Thanks for sharing.

I've never had my decoy attacked. I probably should have used it this fall. They do work good. I use the alert doe Flambeau decoy. It works great on the small bucks.. I'm not so sure on the big ones.

Ive tried mine a couple of times without the antlers without much success. U would think a doe decoy would be better during rut but it doesn't get the attention like a buck decoy.
