What are y’all using for drills right now and are they holding up? I normally go through one a season before it starts stripping and struggling and that’s without putting in a whole lot of sets. I try to bounce it so it never bogs all the way down, but doesn’t seem to matter much

Milwaukee M18 1/2” hammer drill is good.
They make at least a couple models. Look for the one with the highest torque.
A side handle should come with it. That helps when drilling dirt holes and drilling for stakes.
5 year warranty.
I have many of their M18 and M12 platform tools that I use in my business.
They are reliable and last forever.
Once you decide on the model search for that model refurbished.
I have bought many as refurbished and cannot find any labeling or marks.
They work and last.

I have two 1/2” hammer drills that use the previous 18 volt platform.
They have wicked torque and have thrived thru heavy use for 20 years.
They even survived a drop into a beaver swamp where the got full of black muck. Of course the batteries were ruined. However, I rinsed them well and let them dry thoroughly with a fan blowing on them. After a couple weeks , I installed batteries and they work great. That was 3 years ago. Still work like new.

I buy generic batteries on eBay or Amazon. Buy storing them out of the summer heat and winter cold, batteries last twice as long. At the end of work, I put the tool bag full of batteries into an air conditioned and heated storage room.
