If you do, let me know. I had on good socks, sockliners insulated boots, & those goofy looking insulated booties that fit over a boot, and mine still were cold today.

Grandkid shot a 19in. 8 pointer, the rest of the kids saw deer but no shot opportunities. Plenty of hunters around, lots of shooting. Cold and windy but more hunters this year in the public ground.

The hot foot toe warmers are supposed to last 9 hrs… it was a cold wadded
up golf ball in the tip of my boot all day - epic fail on those

Glad I'm not the only one Eagleye. I tried toe warmers this morning, might as well have just put ice cubes in my boots. I am definitely looking forward to some warmer mornings.

I'd like to try the sleeping bag trick, not sure how to do that in my dinky little tree stand though. I'll be hunting from a ground blind the next 3 days, I'll wrap up good in there.

I was out for 1.75 hours and called it a morning Sunday. Saw nothing and finally just got too cold to be effective. Will try for later afternoon. We were not as cold as some I am sure but when I left for my stand it was 8 degrees, 11 went I got back to the truck. With wind who knows but sure was a cold one. Not one shot even within a mile or so. I guess many are smarter than we are.

My youngest son lives in WI and got this buck opening day. It was the only deer he and his father in law saw all day.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

He married into it. Don't blame me.
He still works in MN as the Environmental Biologist for the 1864 Treaty Authority.

Well you certainly can't blame a guy for marrying a woman who's family has lots of hunting land I guess.
