Very frugally. A person making $15/hr qualifies for tons of welfare in many states. If you had to make a mortgage payment or high rent payment, you'd almost certainly need room mates, or to rent out a room or something. It's easier if your house is paid off.

But $15/hr isn't meant to be a living wage. It's a starting wage. Some people however have to try to live on that because they don't have and can't acquire the skills needed for better employment... or can't get better employment due to health issues.

A lot of people do it on that wage or less. It depends on where you live and if you live within your means. Living within your means seems to be a foreign concept to many people though. Also they may not decide they need a new vehicle with all the bells and whistles every 3 years like a lot of folks do.

It isn’t what you make. It is how much you spend

Never made 60K a year in my life, and I live just fine, bought my property and built my own house without taking out a loan also. Maybe you should learn how to budget.

A standard work week is 40 hours. 52 weeks per years equals 2080 work hours per year. 2080 hours per year at $18.00 per hour equals $37,440 per year. Of course not everyone works the standard 40 hours per week.

Note to self- Engage brain before opening mouth (or hitting the ENTER key/SUBMIT button).

Yeah if you're full time you get medical and paid time off.
