Ok gang, not sure how to set this one up,,, there’s a pond that has otter puke in several places, but I can’t find any visible spots where he’s climbing in and out of the water,,,, how would you guys proceed with trying to nab him??

Baited pocket set. Use fresh fish.

Some will tell you they don't respond to bait but they do respond, boy do they respond. I'm so sick and tired of having to release the dang things.

I always thought that the scales and such was otter puke, because they couldn’t digest the scales

The majority of the otter that I’ve caught were in pocket sets,,, and held pretty good in duke 1.5 coils at the end of a drowner

We cant keep them here either. Releasing them is a lot of fun, they are nasty. Much harder to release than fisher. Be careful......jk

Caught several on muskrat carcasses submerged in a milk crate with a coni in the opening. As well as a large pike lure (realistic looking perch imitation) on the triggers. Make sure you stake the set down really good in my limited experience. They tend to get caught by a paw or toes reaching for it.
