However this wood did come from Pete's property in Jersey 3 or 4 years ago. I finally got around to dying it and stabilizing it Pete! Turned out pretty good I think!

Thanks Craig and Bronco...Yes, that is dyed and stabilized spalted maple burl.

And Thanks again Pete...you bet the trip was well worth the effort. All of that wood is good and dry now just waiting be made into calls. Patience has prevailed.

Beautiful !! When I first saw that I thought it was Pete's perfume bottle. After thinking about that I DO believe there would be a high-end market for exactly that............if you could get a glass or plastic liner inside it.

I have been around Pete and absolutely wears no perfume, maybe some long call lure though!

Somehow I just KNEW that "friends" of mine would derail this thing and off into the weeds we would go...!
