Cats sure can be finnicky

Maddog47 would tell you to throw a stinger in front of that cubby and that cat will be waiting for you the next time he comes back. That was the best advice I ever got from a demo.

A simple #3 longspring with an expanded pan on a drag. Just drop it anywhere in front of that cubby - uncovered. It works on those finicky cats that won't commit.

My cat season starts in one month and I think I'm going to try those exposed pans, pat.

if there was something moving over the cubby (flagging) do you think the cat would have moved in closer? Don't know much about cats or cat trapping. Caught one 25 years ago setting for fisher and yotes. Almost choked it to death trying to release it. That is my cat trapping experience.
