If I use fairly strong fencing wire to put around a tree, will the coyote break it? I plan to double it and twist the wire about 1 foot long, but I'm still not sure is it will hold? Any tips or advice?

I cant hardly stake or anchor it because its in the woods and right by a tree so there's too many roots. I ain't got any drags.

Take your cordless drill and screw the chain to the tree with a big old deck screw or three. Big nails or long fence staples will work too. Good idea! Thanks for the replies!

Well, I am a beginner and don't use snares and ain't got a cable or chain so it looks like ima have to move. Take your cordless drill and screw the chain to the tree with a big old deck screw or three. Big nails or long fence staples will work too. Will that hold a coyote?

If he says it will, it WILL. I just think you need to try and keep things as simple as you can. Yes it will.

How do you do it? Do you X them or do you just put them thru the hole in the end swivel?
