For many of you fixing a pull cord is like child's play...but I grew up with No tools
My Dad took me fishing and hunting lot but with one arm he had things fixed instead of fixing.

So is it hard to open a 610 Pro mac and put in a new pull cord?

If you know of a quick video on pull cords in a pm 610 please post the link.

I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Thx Scott

I am not familiar with that saw,but pull cord repair on anything is pretty simple and easy to figure out.
After you get the screws out of the housing,be careful lifting it off so the spring doesnt fly all over the place, lol.

On all my saws they have just been smaller models like any pull start small engine. Just don't un spring the spring. It will be simple for you if you have any mechanical aptitude. You may just find out you enjoy fixing things.

try & keep the spring captured, once you get the new rope on it, it can be tricky getting the right number of turns on the spring to get it to suck back in all the way, may take a couple trys to get it just right. dont rush, try & be patient. love the sound of the ol Mac's.
