Going to be setting some footholds for cats soon, should I use bobcat urine at my sets? If so, who has a good urine you'd recommend using? Do you guys use visual attractants also?

Feathers (where legal), christmas orniments, anything a house cat would like to play with. hang it from some fishing line. I can't give advice on the urine, I've never used it.

If you're doing foot holds for cats only go with big exposed pans.

Instead of fishing line, florist wire works better since its a lil stiffer, your attractor won't fly up and get hung up on neighboring limbs.

old VHS or cassette tape
Christmas tinsel
1/3 of a music cd hung by a corner
a bird wing
gob of feathers wrapped by the light wire
1x4" pc of real or faux fur

You told me a pair of your slightly tainted pink thongs was your secret attraction!

I have nothing clever to put here.

I'm going to try some exposed pans, but not at every set. I also like the idea that less wax dirt is required for exposed sets. Snow can mess with an exposed pan more though it seems

AJ, just raise the whole trap however many inches of snow you expect. It might seem out of place hanging in the air before the snow, but it will be ready once the snow falls.

Walk through sets for cats work better for me than cubbies. Make it in a protected place. A bird wing or something to bring them over then some castor to bring them in. Cats rub the castor and even eat it don’t ask me why. Skunky call lure if you’re not sure about location. These are lynx sets they'll work for bobcats I'm sure.
