I’ve got the flu, woke up at 5 this morning with a 103 temperature,,, but I’ve been having a powerful headache and wanting to know different ideas to try to calm it down. I can’t have alcohol or my migraine meds because serious drug interactions. Excedrin and ibuprofen don’t touch it.any suggestions??

How about plain old aspirin?

Aleve, Take 2, 3 if you have to.

Peppermint oil rub where you can smell it if I'm rembering correctly. Wife was into oils years back and some of it really worked.

Tylenol will help reduce fever as well

Stub your toe on the corner of a piece of furniture pinch your fingers in a #2 coil spring .Cut your finger while skinning a large male raccoon .None of these will take away your headache .But it could at least distract you enough that you might mot feel as bad by it .

Lots and lots of water. Having a headache often means you are dehydrated.

A good decongestant will usually take care of the source of a headache in your situation, even if you don’t feel like you’re congested. And, as SundanceMtnMan said, drink plenty of water.

Poke your finger with a Beaver Hoop Hook… it will redirect the pain

you sure its the flue and not viral menengitus? that always gives me a terrible headache, about the only times I have ever had one.

High fever will cause a headache. If it's above 103, that could be the cause.

Excedrine and Black coffee

Cold pack on back of where your neck/melon meet. And massage your temples working from forehead back. I get debilitating migraines and both those things help quite a bit. Also sinuses being dry or clogged up cause most of the pressure,so afrin nasal spray works well too
