Some great looking bucks guys, congrats to everyone that posted. It’s a tough call for me, been lucky enough to get some great bucks over the years. I think this one maybe looks better than the rest most days, other days I choose another. Lol He’s far from the biggest I’ve killed but he’s a looker.

I honestly don’t know, never weigh them. Typical weight for a mature whitetail in my parts. These pics don’t really show the body but the very first buck my oldest son killed was a real heavyweight. It’s neck was like a barrel.

Those bucks need barrel necks to hold up all that mass atop their head!! Great bucks RVSask, thanks for sharing!

Excellent bucks rvsask. The necks on those look like a steer's neck.

This one was from 2018. Old deer, chased him for the two seasons prior. Finally found him on his feet during the rut. Grunted him to about 8 steps from the base of my tree and smoked him.

but man is this a good one, I got to do a rough score on it a few days back. Man was this kid excited. A deer of a life time for sure. The best deer I have laid my hands on and probably the best I ever will.

Yes oklahoma deer just about 8 miles from me. I scored it at 194 6/8 and the taxidermy got 192. Them was gross non typical. I don't know what the taxidermy guy got typical but I came up with 188. I was just happy to be able to hold something like that. Kid and his dad never knew a deer like that was around they don't feed corn or run cameras. Just happen to come by with a doe on the day they decide to go sit.

If I EVER get a chance to shoot at one like that, that is exactly how I would want it to happen.
Maybe having seen some of his rubs .... not much else.
I have seen rubs that made me wonder if I brought along a big enough gun, almost gave me cold chills. But never saw the buck that made them.
I moved away from there shortly after that season. Never will forget, and have never seen anything similar since.
Thanks Matt !

The issue with rubs is I’ve seen a spike work over an 8” diameter tree for over 20minutes, lol. Granted another deer may have made the initial rub, but that spike gave it everything he had.
