I made 5 rounds with 3 different loads , .223 , can't say I am impressed with the varget . I will have to use the varget for ringing steel instead of punching paper. I know a lot of guys like varget and I should try a couple more loads

What caliber?
I know a lot of guys who swear by Varget, I know alot who like BLC2, many use H335, others like Benchrest?
Anymore it's use what you can find lol.

Varget is a very good all around powder for many different cartridges. It is seldom the best for any particular round. But it works from 223 to 30-06 and from grendel to 308 and a bunch of others. It is one of my favorite powders to have on my shelf for that very reason.

I don't believe you can get any real data from 5 rounds with two different powders.
Maybe try a ladder test or one of the other methods of working up a load.

I prefer H322 for my .222 Rem and .222 Rem Mag. I've also used it in bulk for .223 from a RR X1 platform and have had very good results. I have some Varget on the shelf but haven't used it yet. People sure seem to look for it though.
Just livin' the dream...and paying full price for it!
