It’s looking like our wonderful state wants to pass an anti hunting bill aimed at kids the bill basically says that no one under the age of 21 will be allowed to hunt by themselves,,, they must be accompanied by an adult. But hey,, it’s ok here to have gender reassignment surgery or abort your kid without permission

Stand by your principles, Stand by your guns, and victory complete and permanent is sure at last.

I don't even like driving through that state. I fill up and pee before I hit the state line, I hit cruze at the speed limit and don't stop tell I'm on the other side. But that's because my loaded gun stayes on my hip. Also if I stop I will spend money there and i dont wanting them geting my few dollars worth of taxes. I drove around twice but it adds to much time depending on where I'm heading.

On my annual hunting trips to Missouri I make sure I'm fueled up in KY and/or Missouri and do not stop in Illinois for ANY reason.

I'm just the opposite. I will hold it as long as my bladder allows just to pee in Minnesota or Illinois.

I guess someone needs to introduce a must gas and pee in Illinois bill if you cross the state line.

You forgot to mention the part of the law that outlaws semiautomatic guns and anything that holds 10 rounds or more. If a gun was purchased before the proposed law takes effect will be legal to keep but will have to be registered with the state police and a $25 dollar per gun.

If I could draw a line somewhere south of Mount Vernon, and have Southern Illinois secede to Kentucky, I would do it.

Same people settled there from North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia as they did here in Western Kentucky....Same people, same politics, same values, same accent, etc.

Look up why upstate Illinois politicians called Southern Illinoisans "copperheads" during the Civil War.

MChewk gets a special invite also, because he's the coolest cat in Northern Illinois, plus he married a Kentucky girl, Lol. wink

I would take the in Indiana gladly. I loved Shawnee National Forest when I was a kid. I climbed and and went rappelling there a lot before I turnd 18 and started carrying a gun on me all the time.

My wife lived in Harrisburg several years.

Yes' Sir Providence Farm, Southern Illinois Shawnee Forest counties are God's country!

Harrisburg (Saline County) is a great area...Spent a lot of time in the county just south of there (Pope) hunting with friends....Illinois really is 2 different states it seems.

I always thought thay should split off and go with IN,KY, or MO or split some off for all 3.

IL was one state I never even considered looking for land in when we were shopping.

From the comment I got about how I let my kids hunt alone in some situations I'm sure some of the members here will love this proposal.

That splitting 3 ways would be equitable....Wonder if JB Pritzker would even care?

The Illinois laws are a deterrent when considering a move, and this new no cash bail thing they are working on is scary...We all know the gun laws are pretty strict there as well.

But dang, it's a beautiful place, extraordinary natural area.
