I am trying to figure out how two grown men having what appears to be a consensual fight over a golf game, likely alcohol involved, why anybody gets arrested. If you dont want your nose bit off then dont get into a whos tougher contest
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

If you dont want your nose bit off then dont get into a whos tougher contest Alcohol or money. Usually money, though in this case I would imagine large quantities of alcohol probably led to the Mike Tyson imitation. I pretty much only play golf when money is involved and I've seen some hairy things happen when people get caught cheating or not paying up.If alcohol is involved, things tend to escalate.

Back in the late eighties, my friend and former business partner, Chip, bit off a guy's ear in a fight and swallowed it.
He and his friend Jason found an ad for free Capri Cigarretes in a magazine. They got the cigarretes at a store and lit two up on the drive back home. They thought they tasted terrible and threw the lit cigarretes out the window. One of the cigarettes blew in the window of the car behind them and caught a seat on fire. The 2 guys in that car caught up with them and got them to pull over to fight. The one guy got out with a tire iron and started fighting Jason. Chip started fighting the other guy. Chip had the guy he was fighting pinned down and was beating his face in when he heard a few dull thuds, which was the pointy end of the tire iron repeatedly hitting his head. He leaned down and bit the guy's, who he had pinned downs, ear off and swallowed it. He then got up and grabbed the tire iron away from the other guy and threw it away.
Chip took Jason, who was in bad shape, to the hospital. Chip had just sat down in a chair in the waiting room and a guy walked up and told him "I can see your brain" Chip had lost a piece of scalp and skull and the membrane over his brain was exposed. They rushed Chip back to surgery. He woke up a couple of weeks later. His parents didn't know where he was for several days.
