Finally got a wolverine and its a beauty! Caught it in a old Victor #3 square jaw that I recently 4 coiled. It was at a fox/coyote set with bait in a snow hole and some lure/fox pee set off my sled trail. It was missing one toe on the caught foot(freshly missing) but has all the rest of its toes. Weighed 28 lbs.

Nice! Great markings. What's up with it's eye? While I agree with White to some degree about the inevatable action when they are caught in a foothold, I have come to appreciate the lack of drama when they find a 330!

Congrats buddy. I see a white toe. White17 and AV both have points on their preferred way of catching. Live ones are cool but often break claws. 330 caught wolverine that freeze usually end up with green belly and even a mouse can start eating them. I’m happy for everyone I get though. Good job. Looking forward to seeing your next one too.

Congrats on your first wolverine and it being a beauty too. I still get so much more excited about wolverines than I do anything else.

That's awesome! Always wanted to catch a wolverine. I missed my chance.
I was sort of hoping you'd caught it in one of my old traps...

They are also my favorite. And I should add a dis-claimer: Of the 6 I have taken, only one, (ironically, my first), was taken in a 330! That said, I have been "involved" in several others, both lively, and not. They are something else.

Good job. is that a crossfox sled you are using? Did not know they come in black. It’s not a cross fox but a similar design. A local guy makes them in Anchorage. Been using it for a couple years now and it’s holding up well to my abuse.

Not sure what happened to its eye. Either damage from a recent fight or while it was trying to get out of the trap. It also had fresh cuts on its snout.

Amazing animals.

That's awesome, congrats! Still looking for my first. Got to get to some country where they live. That’s how it was for me as well. Last season I was on the edge of country that held them. So this season I moved areas and seem to have decent sign so far. Good luck on finding some!
