Morning to all. Had to tell someone. Stopped by a little pond half mile from my new house to ask permission to trap. Guy says I just shot one 30 min ago he's down by the drainpipe if you want it. Said I could trap. I go down to get the muskrat and jackpot it's a male mink. Hit it in the jaw so wasn't dead yet. I grabbed it and put it to bed. But how lucky stop and get a free mink. On a couple other notes, I posted about Amish and a victor trap that stayed set without the dog being latched. The Amish makes wood burning stoves he said he called it wood saver, top load and 3 different sizes. 525.00 to 575.00. Trap is soaking in vinegar and water to see if its better or will set. I can't find my camera to take pics so we will see. OK Happy trapping and be safe.
