I was really hoping Sage could hold the big lead he had coming into vegas; but it seems like the pressure is getting to him. Gonna be cool to see Jess Pope finally win it all in the bareback, he’s earned it and been dang close the last 2 years. It’s funny it don’t matter how far out Casey Field is coming in, he’s always gonna come alive in Vegas and have a strong showing. Not everyone likes me, but not everyone matters

Leftlane OP "HOSS" Joined: Dec 2009 The Hill Country of Texas	Yeah there is a lot of competition in the saddle bronc riding this year- I wish Lefty wasn't so far out- he is in the zone. As far as the Jess Pope vs Casey Field rivalry there are more than a couple good rodeo judge who have told me personally that they would have marked a couple rides differently in some later NFR rounds last year and Jess might have won the world as well as the average. I had the Oporto meet Rob Smetts a few years back at the NFR, another super nice and humble guy. We’ve lost a few good ones as well, Jimmy Anderson, Leon Coffee… great men. Leftlane OP "HOSS" Joined: Dec 2009 The Hill Country of Texas	Outlaw99- a few years back I took my boy to a Gary Leffew clinic- he was sharing the space with Robs Smets teaching a bull fighting clinc who is about as humble and as faithful to God as a man can be. It was all but comical, Gary would be using really colorful adjectives and adverbs in his loud and carries a long way voice, and you'd look over and notice Smetts down on a knee with all of his students praying. I all but felt sorry for the guy LOL- Gary Leffew can be more than a little bit colorful but most parents of minor children tolerate it because he is teaching our kids how to ride better and get off safer. Good news too- I saw Leon Coffee flying a barrel up in Lee County this year- he is still out there working. As for Newsome, he still teaches some clinics with Cody Webster- both are basically unparalleled in the world of bull fighting. ï¿½Whatï¿½s good for me may not be good for the weak minded.ï¿½ Captain Gus McCrae- Texas Rangers

Also spent lots of time with the Sparks bros, Lloyd Ketchum, Jerry Norton and Don Yates. Don is prolly 55 or a little better but stays in shape and could probably still crack out and do protection work. Jerry is hauling a barrel last I knew.
