Use Major Boddiker's method 10 parts dry sand to one part cattle salt. Put your traps in the thinnest, cheapest ziploc bags (I use the local grocery store brand), chop bed fill with the salted sand, bed your trap, cover and wait. They work through snow, ice etc. If you are worried coyotes will spook at the salted sand, sift dirt form bed over, or scuff some ground duff over.

Tried it last year and its going to be my method for coyotes form here on out. I do feel this works best with 4 coiled traps.

If you haven't tried waxed dirt, I suggest you give it a try. It's a game changer. You can make 25 gallons for around 50 bucks. Probably enough to make 75 or 80 sets.
