I had one that came to harass me every time I
called in this one turkey woods.

One time this grouse followed me to my truck
and when I opened the cab door to put my
shotgun in the truck, it flew up onto the seat.

Had to shove the bird out so I could leave.

Ok, that’s my goal this Spring when I head back to the PNW…get a picture of a grouse!!! That drumming was one of the highlights last year. Quite scary at first light, but still remarkable! I NEVER saw them. Even ditched the turkey vest and gun trying to pull a sneak just to get a pic or video but could never locate them.
