About four days ago I put out a few Fisher sets as I had seen tracks in two different areas on the land I normally trap Fisher on. One set was a cage trap set Within 10 ft of a road and covered with grass. The Fisher were running a dry ditch and crossing the road here so it was an easy check. I have caught Fisher in both body grips and footholds in past years but this was my first Fisher in a cage trap. It was a big male but he was pretty docile in the Trap. I normally do not use cage traps for Fisher but due to the close proximity to the road I thought it was the best option and it worked to perfection. Used a muskrat carcass for bait with fish oil and beaver caster for a lure.

Good choice on the cage in situation like that.
What size of cage? Coon size?

One of these days I am going to make a concerted effort to learn how to post pictures as I have a lot of them but so far have been unsuccessful but will keep working on it. It took me five or six years just to learn how to post a reply or start a thread. Haha I guess I am a better Trapper than a communicator.
