]I’ll take a picture when I go back but I found what I believe is a mink den. Stream running through a swamp in a 1/4 acre break in between woods. Stream cuts through the edge of the swamp and around a bend there’s a birm that is along the tree line and about 2 ft away from the stream there’s a big cut out with two holes in the shape of a Y and on the one side about 2 ft back on top of the birm is another hole. Heavy use at the entrance with fresh dirt and disturbance at the entrances. Heavy slides into the stream in multiple direction.

How should I set it? And what’s the chance there’s more than one in that den this time of year

Any mink hunting in that areas knows about those holes and will investigate them when hunting through. SO set 'em up!

So even if it’s just one, take the one out and wait for another one to come investigate it? Should I put a foothold at the front of the holes or go with a 160? Or stay away from the holes and set the slides?

I'm gonna guess you have a muskrat den since there's slides. I'd put a foothold an inch under the water at the bottom of each slide, and a coni over the hole unless they're close togeather.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

THIS /\//\/\ but use a 110 as i am guessing the holes are smaller, either way set whichever coni fits the hole better

I would say it would be a muskrat den but I’ve never seen one that dry before. Usually a muskrat den is larger, these holes are maybe my first sized and they’re not slicked down. I also don’t see any signs of feed piles, or any damage to the cat tail stalks near by. I went looking for a muskrat lodge and found that den instead and no sign of rats there

I prefer a 110 or 150 over a 160 for mink

Look for droppings. This mink scat was on an old rat house at the base of a tree. It appeared the mink were using it as a den.

Once I saw it yesterday I stopped in my place, I’m going to go back and set two #2 in the slides and see if I can get 2 110s to cover the two main holes. I’ll take a few pictures of the spot. Should I block any other entrances?

One of the entrances on top of the mound is a vertical shot down, not sure how to trap that one. Should I funnel a path to and from that entrance and blind set it with a foothold?
