When I started coyote trapping about a year ago it was one of my goals to catch a black coyote, This morning I finally got one. I was told by the land owner they had seen one several times, to top it off I caught him on a bait that I made. The bait seems to be working well this is the 3rd coyote on it .

No pics, my camera on my phone is inoperable and I put him in my holding cage and delivered him before daylight this morning..

Im a sucker for colors man, I always think about the crazy combos that could be made. Good for you though, glad you got it, congrats again.

Phone or computer? If phone, take a screenshot of it. If that’s too large, crop the photo to trim away the edges.

Got these two a couple hundred yards apart last year.

Cropping the photo should do it. Open it in your photos on your phone and crop/cut off the edges of the photo, leaving the important part of the photo. It doesn’t take much.

Man if I ever catch a black coyote he is going to a place that will breed him/her out. No point to kill the seed when it could keep giving black coyotes every year....no trapping required.

More than likely color phase coyotes have a good amount of dog in them. Why would u want to propagate more dog in coyotes. Personally I'm glad we don't have black coyotes here. Get a few of the fox colored red ones though. These off colored coyotes don't even look like our coyotes physically. Matt u should just pick a dog u like and pen it with some female coyotes to get what u want. Not me though, I like the pure or as close to pure as u can get, so do the furbuyers.
