How's everyone fairing from the blizzard this week? Here in the panhandle of NE the wind just keeps blowing. Around 3-4 foot drifts on the yard, will try to venture out in the morning and get off the recliner. Thankfully the power has stayed on! Hopefully everyone with livestock was able to get water and feed out today!

It just started here last night. So far we only have 3 inches with a 1/4 inch of ice underneath but it is supposed to snow until Friday afternoon.

I have nothing clever to put here.

It's going to be pretty much petered out by the time it reaches PA tomorrow morning. Here in southeast PA it's going to be a snow/ice mix. Maybe up to a foot at some places in the laurel highlands of northwest PA.

Eh...wot?

Freezing rain started 10 minutes ago along with 30 mph winds. Supposed to turn to 11 inches of snow. Good day to stay inside and make soup.

I just watched a long range forecast podcast that is predicting most of the nation will be 20-40 degrees below average after this front moves through around Christmas. Arctic air coming out of Siberia where it is nearly -80 F right now. MN is looking like -40 below.

I have nothing clever to put here.

First we got rain that froze. Then we got heavy, wet, sloppy snow. Highway was horrible coming in this morning. Ice covered with "washboard" ruts. Not many cars in the ditch this morning. Everybody driving 35 mph.
This snowfall was round one. Round two starts tonight and Thursday into Friday. Another 4-8 inches. Then into the deep freeze with temps well below normal for this time of the year.

I am actually seeing 20-40 degrees below normal forecast for Christmas time. Siberian air coming and it is -80 F there now.

We're hoping that Siberian air doesn't get all the way down into the mid part of the country.
Looks like you all are a shoo in for it but maybe the South will get spared.
Hoping Laramie doesn't get it, we'll be travelling for about 6 days over Christmas and the house and cat will be alone with our 40 year old furnace.

Lots of wind here and only about 3 inches of snow. Actually got into the 20's early this morning. Roads are still closed though, I-80 and highways.

We are just getting the liquid version of it and as that stuff is not stackable I don't know how many inches it would amount to but its been raining since last night and will continue till tomorrow morning. The chickens want webbed feet for Christmas

Took the dog for a walk right after lunch. 8" of wet heavy snow and ice blanket the trees making it look like a winter wonderland. Might look nice but glad I don't need to go anywhere anytime soon.

I just finished plowing 7 inches of the wet, heavy stuff. At least it didn't drift and it stacks nice but it is glare ice underneath.

I have nothing clever to put here.

We are supposed to get over an inch of rain and no snow.

I'm spending some time In Arkansas now. It's a brutal 53° but cooling down. We did get 1.60" of rain. We'll take that any time!
